Best BBQ hamburgers ever.
Oriental Sesame Burgers
makes 4 med-lg size patties
1lb of free range hamburger
1 egg
1/4 tsp salt, pepper
1/4 cup of bread crumbs or ground almonds
1 Tbsp of Soy Sauce, I like Bragg's
2 tsp mustard
1 crushed garlic clove
1/4 tsp of ground ginger
2 Tbsp of toasted sesame seeds
2 green onions sliced.
Whisk egg with soy sauce, mustard, garlic, salt, pepper and ginger. Work into hamburger.
add bread crumbs or ground almonds, toasted sesame seeds and sliced onions. make into patties and BBQ for 2 mins on each side on high heat then 5 mins on each side on med heat.
In closing I would like to say a few words about my dear friend Jacque Nazaretian who passed away on Sunday May 31. For those who did not know Jacque I can tell you first hand he was a real character. I worked with Jacque for 19 years at 1518 Dresden Row. Jacque also played pool in my pool league on Wednesday evenings for many years. For those who did know Jacque, you know that at heart he was very kind, beyond generous; I can't tell you how many times clients of mine would tell me that after having a hair cut with Jacque that he wouldn't let them pay or he only charged them a small amount, he believed in living life to the fullest and always gave honest advice. He will be deeply missed by so many, including myself.
