What is Intense Pulse Light (IPL)?
Pulse light systems use hand-held flash lamps that emit gentle pulses of light which are safely absorbed into the skin. Excellent long term results are achieved when treating hair for permanent reduction.
How many treatments are required?
The typical regimen is 5-7 treatment sessions, spaced 4-12 weeks apart depending on the area of body being treated.
Why are multiple treatments necessary?
Because the hair grows in a cycle the hair needs to be treated while in the anogen stage of growth, because not all hairs are in this stage at the same time, multiple sessions are necessary to target majority of the hairs.
Is it true that not every hair will be removed?
While the hair that is present on the skin will be permanently removed there are always dormant hairs that are not active and therefore will not response to treatment. On average 70%-90% of the hair is eliminated with multiple sessions. Client feedback on the result of the treatments has been extremely positive.
