November tends to be a very high energy month for me. Lot of excitement with donations for the open house coming in and orders from Barefoot Venus arriving. I thought I had a pretty good handle on what stress was until,..... My computer was hacked!! Breathe!, Breathe!, Breathe! I can tell you I did a lot of praying that night!! It is said, by wise ones, that there is always something positive to come from something negative. Hmmm..... as I reflected on this thought I came to realize that the stressful energy I tend to get caught up in in my trying to make everything just so for the salon's annual open house, is really just my own doing and in the big scheme of life not necessary. There are way worse things that can go wrong in life and if truth be known it's not the hacking of a computer either. But sometimes it takes something as gut wrenching as having your computer hacked to put it all back into perspective!! If you are one of those people who get mega stressed out as the holidays approach, breathe and listen to your gut when it tells you to take a break. It will all work out and if it doesn't...well there's usually a great story to tell! And yes, my computer was cleansed of the hacker's virus and is whole again! Hallelujah!!

Recipe for November
Oven Fried Cinnamon Chicken
One of my favourites and so easy. You can easily use Almond flour in place of the regular flour if you would like Gluten Free.
1/2 C Flour or Almond Flour
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp tumeric
2Tbsp coconut milk or reg milk
1 egg or 1 Tbsp of oil
3lb Chicken cut into pieces
Pre-heat oven to 375 F. Combine flour, salt, cinnamon, tumeric &pepper. Beat egg and milk and dip chicken pieces into this mixture. Then coat with with flour mixture and bake in oven on sprayed pan for 40 minutes. Makes a wonderful dish for company. Enjoy.
